Hello and welcome to my website.
I plan to use the site to showcase my work and scatter random thoughts about writing, the writing process and life as we know it.
I’m not going to bore you with a detailed family history but for those of you who like to know just what sort of a beastie you’re dealing with, here’s a potted history.
As a kid I read anything and everything I could get my mitts on. At 8 years old my first success was a short story (very short) called The Canary, published in the school magazine.
I just missed out on free love and flower power in the 60’s but in the 70’s wholeheartedly embraced the doctrine of “Small is Beautiful” and became a self-sufficiency freak. However it powered a great deal of my writing at the time and I was published in national and regional magazines; I wrote a newspaper column and did a 2 minute slot every week on indie radio.
The 90’s find me divorced, back in the business world and running my own company.
Now, I live on the east coast of Yorkshire, in an old school house that I’m slowly renovating. I still have a day job as a business and personal development coach but more importantly, I’m writing again.
